I have been with my partner for 18 years, most of this time has been reasonably happy, although I will say that at times a little mundane/ordinary.

We really do not have that much in common, I am the type of person who likes to be out and about, he on the other hand is very much a homebody.
I have gone with the flow over the time we have been together and now feel like a bit of a prisoner both in the relationship and in my home.  I care about him but I am unsure as to whether I love him or whether he is just a habit?

Are people meant to be attracted to and stay with ONE person for the rest of their lives?

Give kudos

If you are not happy with your husband or boyfriend who ever it may be, just go and share what you want from them, and how again you both can make your relation happy,

¬!8 years is a long time and reckon that you have done well to last this long since you say that you have little in common with your partner. Some people can go through life with one partner and thats it the chemistry thing works, they stay in love. Not mny people find true love nd happiness that lasts their lfetime which means that people like you and lots more ultimately find themselves in perfunctory relationships which are destined to end . Iv no idea whether there is a secret to keeping things going with someone, i suppose its down to the luck of the draw. i do know that modern life offers ways out of mundane lifestyles should people care to take the opportunities that arrise.
